Calgary Chieftains

The Chieftains have had extraordinary success for the past number of seasons. The Men have been the team to beat, winning many tournament titles along the way, and the Ladies, the Chieftainettes, have become a force to be reckoned with in Western Canada. These teams attend tournaments in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Seattle, and host the annual Calgary Gaelic Football Tournament. There is also a firm relationship with the Calgary Aussie Rules teams.

Outdoor training runs from May to September at the Calgary Irish Rugby grounds. The grounds are located off of McKnight in the NE.

Edmonton Wolfe Tones

In Edmonton, they pride themselves on the development and promotion of Gaelic football and of Irish culture in their city. Men and women’s select side which compete in the Canadian Western Divisional Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (G.A.A.). An Edmonton Youth program is currently being developed. During the months of May to August the teams will practice.

The newest member of the Western Canada Division. Lying as it does smack bang in the middle of two hot-beds of Alberta Gaelic Football, Red Deer is a prime location for the development of the games. Their Men compete in the Western Canadian Championships, and plans are afoot to get the Ladies game going in the city. If you're in the region, and interested in Gaelic Football, check these boys out.

Vancouver Harps

The club competes in Ladies and Men’s Gaelic Football and plays competitive hurling each year against the Seattle Gaels. Through the GAA affiliation, the club will develop and promote the games at the youth and adult levels. With the mild West Coast winter's Vancouverites can enjoy Gaelic Football all year round, with a Seven's Mixed (6 Team) League in the run-up to St. Patrick's Day.

Vancouver Celts

The newest member of the Western Canada Division. The Celts have competed as squad in the various Tournaments since 2006, but with growing numbers participating in Vancouver, sought out the next logical course in their growth. The foundation of a stand-alone club. Both Vancouver clubs remain under the umbrella of the Irish Sporting & Social Club.

Howe Sound Teams

The Squamish club has began recruiting and already has 4 games under its belt in the Vancouver Mixed Seven's in the run up to St.Patrick's Day.
